Domaine de la Marinière

About the Winemaker

Domaine de la Marinière is a family-owned estate located in Panzoult, on the eastern edge of the Chinon appellation in France’s Loire Valley. The Desbourdes family has farmed this land since the 1960s, but it’s energetic son Boris who’s helped usher in a new era. Inspired by a stint with Champagne’s Vincent Laval, Boris transitioned the vineyard to organics, earning full certification in 2018.

Today, the estate spans 15 hectares, with Cabernet Franc vines planted across gravelly river soils and limestone hillsides — a mix that brings both freshness and depth to the wines.

Why we work with them

We love Chinon for its tension and aromatic profile, and Domaine de la Marinière delivers both — with clarity, structure, and a contemporary touch. These are classic Loire reds with a lifted, modern sensibility and a clear sense of place.
