The Wine

Old-vine Gamay from the slopes around Brouilly, that's seriously a joy to drink. Juicy black cherry, raspberry and soft spice lifted by just enough carbonic freshness to keep things bright and lively. The Fellot family farm organically on steep granite slopes, working with old vines and a gentle hand in the cellar to preserve freshness and drinkability. Supple, energetic and massively overdelivering for the category.

The Producer 

The estate, located on the steep slopes of the Beaujolais region, has been in the Fellot family since 1829. Manu applies the principles of agroecology to their organic certified vineyards. We were in beaujolais last year visiting Yohan and some other prospective producers when we found this estate. We were unnashamedly looking for the best value
Beaujolais villages we could find and this wine took the cake. Its just super juicy and moorish, with enough Carbonic maceration to elevate rather than distract. And the old vines ensures the wine is textured and supple.
